Rep Oyewo Felicitates With Ataoja Of Oṣogbo On Birthday Anniversary

The legislator representing Oṣogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy) on Thursday felicitated with the Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, Larooye II, on the occasion of the monarch’s birthday anniversary.


In a congratulatory message to the royal father, issued by the media and publicity team of the lawmaker in Oṣogbo, Rep Oyewo extolled Ataoja's “uncommon leadership qualities” and prayed that God grants him many more years of service to the people of Oṣogbo.



“As you mark your birthday anniversary which comes up on Thursday, May 5th 2022, I write, on behalf of my family, friends, staff and the good people of Oṣogbo Federal Constituency, to extend warm felicitations to Your Royal Highness.


“Your outstanding leadership prowess and evident faith in the peace, unity, progress, and prosperity of our dear constituency, have combined to make you one of the most highly respected monarchs in Nigeria today.


“As you continue to use your exalted throne to build bridges of friendship and harmony across Osun State, it is my prayer that God grants you many more years of abounding health, prosperity and enduring fulfillment,” the federal parliamentarian wrote.


Hon. Olubukola Oyewo finally wished the monarch an enjoyable and worthwhile birthday celebration.

2022 World Press Freedom Day: Rep Olubukola Oyewo Extends Warm Greetings To Journalists

The legislator representing Oṣogbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy) has extended his warm greetings to all media persons across Nigeria on #WorldPressFreedomDay.



Rep. Oyewo, in a communiqué issued by his media and publicity team in Oṣogbo on Wednesday, commended the exemplary commitment of journalists in his constituency and other parts of the country in gathering and disseminating unbiased information to citizens.


The federal lawmaker noted that the legislature will always do all within its constitutional powers to enact laws and policies that make the society conducive for fairer, safer and credible journalism. 


"We will also continue to seek effective means of supporting and partnering with media practitioners in a bid to help them perform their role in the society better”, the statement says.

Oyewo Congratulates Renowned Chattered Accountant, Femi Salako On Election As New National President Of Ilobu Development Union

The lawmaker representing Oṣogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy) has congratulated Femi Salako, a renowned Chattered Accountant and financial expert on his election as the new National President of Ilobu-Asake Development Union, Ilobu, Osun State.


The federal parliamentarian, in a statement issued by his Media Office on Wednesday, noted that the emergence of Salako as head of the apex sociocultural group in Ilobu will further help in taking the ancient town to greater heights.



Rep Oyewo also noted that Salako’s experience and suitability for the strategic office is not in doubt.


" Accountant Femi Salako’s emergence is indeed well-thought-out and speaks volumes about the penchant of the good people of Ilobu for excellence."


Hon. Oyewo also said he is confident that Salako will bring to bear his scholarly intellect, network, professional and administrative experience in ensuring the smooth running of the union for the benefit of Ilobu, which remains an integral part of Oṣogbo Federal Constituency.


“While I assure the new leadership of Ilobu Development Union of needed support and cooperation, I wish the entire executive committee members of the association success in their service to the good people of Ilobu,” the statement added.


Salako was overwhelmingly elected as National President during the Annual General Meeting of Ilobu-Asake Development Union held on Tuesday in the ancient town of Ilobu.
